Elon Musk Drops Mark Zuckerberg Marriage Accusation

Twitter owner Elon Musk recently let the personal insults fly as the social media feud between him and Mark Zuckerberg continues to heat up, ahead of a possible UFC fight.

Meta’s launch of Threads — a companion app to Instagram with numerous similarities to Twitter — has reignited the rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg while their social media platforms battle for supremacy.

The official Threads account for Wendy’s stirred the pot by suggesting Zuckerberg should travel to outer space — a pointed reference to Musk’s company SpaceX.

“Hey @zuck, you should go to space just to really make him mad lol,” the Wendy’s account posted.

The exchange was noticed by a Twitter user who accused Zuckerberg of protecting “brand speech” where Musk “protects free speech.” Musk noticed this and responded with a personal attack.

“Zuck is a cuck,” the Twitter chief wrote.

Threads drew tens of millions of users since its launch three days ago, so the competition between Musk and Zuckerberg is being waged on social, legal, and perhaps even physical fronts with talk of a cage match fight between the two. Despite the numerous setbacks Twitter has seen since Musk took it over, he has spent the weekend hyping up improvements to the platform while taking shots at Zuckerberg.

More than 100 million users have joined Meta’s new Threads platform, a feat the Twitter rival has achieved in less than five days, making the Twitter competitor the fastest-growing online platform in history.

Threads crossed the 100 million mark early Monday—after being launched across 100 countries on Wednesday evening—according to data from Quiver Quantitative, which tracks the data from the Instagram app. By achieving the milestone in less than five days, Threads has overtaken ChatGPT’s record, as the OpenAI chatbot had reached the 100 million mark in two months. On Friday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the app had crossed 70 million signups, which he said was “way beyond our expectations.”

Threads’ record-breaking launch has been aided by a simple sign-up process that requires users to log into the app through their Instagram accounts—which is used to populate their profile details and follow lists. According to Sensor Tower data, Threads is currently the most downloaded free app in the U.S. on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
