Controversial influencer Andrew Tate found himself back in the center of attention after engaging in a lengthy interview with right-wing media personality Tucker Carlson. This exclusive conversation, lasting over two and a half hours, was shared by Carlson on his independent talk show called “Tucker on Twitter.” Carlson, who had been dismissed from FOX News in April, took to Twitter to continue his broadcasting endeavors.
The focal point of the interview was Andrew Tate himself, as he discussed a range of topics including his views on masculinity and his personal experiences. The extensive nature of the interview attracted significant attention, garnering a staggering 92.8 million views according to Twitter statistics.
In the aftermath of this viral interview, some of Tate’s fans claimed that it had become the most-watched television interview in history. A Twitter account purporting to be a fan shared a screenshot of a Wikipedia page titled “List of most watched television interviews.” Pointing an arrow to the top of the table, the screenshot highlighted the Tate and Carlson interview as occupying the number one spot. However, it is important to note that the interview was never televised but rather posted exclusively on Twitter.
Upon closer inspection, it was revealed by Sportskeeda that the screenshot of the Wikipedia page had been either edited or photoshopped. The actual page identifies a 1993 Oprah Winfrey interview with Michael Jackson as the most-watched television interview, boasting an average viewership of 62.3 million. Furthermore, the Wikipedia page itself explicitly states that the list pertains only to interviews aired on broadcast television and does not encompass online sources such as YouTube, Twitter, or other digital platforms.
