Will Ferrell Drops Jamie Foxx Return Movie Bombshell

Popular actor Jamie Foxx is gearing up for his comeback underway with the release of a new trailer for his upcoming canine comedy Strays.

The 55-year-old Oscar winner had suffered an unexplained ‘medical complication’ leading to his hospitalization in Atlanta in April and he voices a hilariously foul-mouthed Boston Terrier in the live-action film.

Will Ferrell, Isla Fisher and Randall Park also voice dogs in the raunchy R-rated comedy, while Will Forte has an on-screen role as an abusive owner. The latest glimpse at the comedy comes after Jamie shared a video updating his fans on his swift recovery.

That’s what Strays star Isla Fisher has to say about her raunchy new R-rated comedy, which stars Will Ferrell as Reggie, a newly abandoned Border Terrier who is adjusting to life on the streets.

It has been noted that through his adventures — a far cry from family-friendly pet flicks like Homeward Bound — Reggie meets Bug, a tough-talking Boston Terrier voiced by Jamie Foxx, Hunter, a therapy Great Dane voiced by Randall Park, and Maggie, an Australian Shepherd voiced by Fisher.

In ET’s first look at the film, directed by Josh Greenbaum and produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, fans see how Reggie’s newfound friends convince him to exact revenge on his deadbeat owner, Doug (Will Forte).

“It’s a talking dog movie,” Ferrell says in the clip. “It’s seemingly super sweet, but it’s filthy, R-rated.”

“I was just floored by the unbridled shenanigans,” Park agrees.

The film also stars Sofía Vergara, Josh Gad, Harvey Guillén, Rob Riggle, Brett Gelman, Jamie Demetriou and Dennis Quaid.
