Nate Diaz was given marijuana by a fan during his warm ups for his Jake Paul fight.
Nate Diaz and Logan Paul were almost set to have a boxing match last year, but WWE’s involvement soured Diaz’s interest in the bout. Diaz had just finished his contract with UFC and hoped to be free of any contractual obligations. He felt that WWE’s brand didn’t fit his bad boy image, stating that he fights for real and wouldn’t be interested in participating in a fight on a WWE card.
In response, Logan Paul suggested that Diaz’s refusal was a “cop-out” and accused him of being afraid to fight the stronger and older Paul brother. Logan believed that Diaz could still be a real fighter while having the biggest sports organization in the world promote his fight.
Currently, Diaz is set to fight Logan’s brother, Jake, in his professional boxing debut on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Jake Paul has a 6-win, 1-loss record in pro boxing, with his only defeat coming at the hands of Tommy Fury back in February.
Jake Paul has also expressed his openness to joining WWE in the future. His brother, Logan, signed with WWE in the middle of 2022, becoming the first major signing under the guidance of Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Stephanie McMahon during Vince McMahon’s “retirement.”
