John Cena Blocked From WWE Return With Big Name

WWE legend The Rock, who is also a Hollywood megastar might not return to WWE during the SAG-AFTRA strike, along with John Cena.

The Rock certainly had a pretty bad start in WWE as almost everyone hated his Rocky Maivia character. The infamous ‘Die, Rocky, Die’ chants are something no one will ever forget, especially The Rock.

The SAG-AFTRA writer’s strike is one of the most pressing matters in Hollywood right now. The federation members are currently on strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers over meagre payment and lack of rights.

Speaking with Cheap Heat, former WWE writer and Senior Vice President of Development at Seven Bucks Productions Brian Gewirtz reckoned that it would be a bad look for a prominent actor like The Rock to participate in an entertainment program while others in the industry are striking. Therefore, his WWE return might not be for a while.

“It’s a bad look for a prominent actor like The Rock, Cena [John Cena], Batista [Dave Bautista] to appear on an entertainment program while there is a strike going on and people are not getting paid and are striking.

I would be shocked if The Rock appeared anytime soon while the strike is going on, but I would be equally, if not more shocked if The Rock never appeared in a WWE ring again and figuring in the storyline at some point. It needs to be crafted, discussed, and thought about.”
