Jamie Foxx ‘God And Devil’ Announcement Revealed

According to Deadline, Academy Award victor Jamie Foxx has been selected to portray the character of God in the upcoming comedy film titled “Not Another Church Movie,” according to information obtained by Deadline. The movie, helmed by writer-director Johnny Mack, will feature Foxx opposite Mickey Rourke from “The Wrestler,” who was earlier confirmed to be playing the role of the Devil.

The production of the movie took place before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and is aiming for a theatrical debut in the fourth quarter. Kevin Daniels, known for his role in “Sirens,” is leading the ensemble cast. The lineup also includes talents such as Vivica A. Fox, Tisha Campbell, Jasmine Guy, Kyla Pratt, and Lamorne Morris.

The film, produced by James Michael Cummings and former Warner Bros executive Jim Cardwell, is described as an exhilarating journey through the captivating universe of Taylor Pharry, portrayed by Kevin Daniels. Taylor, a determined young man, is bestowed with a divine mission from God—to share his family’s tales and inspire his community. However, Taylor’s primary concern lies with his family and community. Unbeknownst to him, the Devil has his own sinister intentions.
