Meanwhile, Becky Lynch is set to make her return to NXT next week. A report has emerged regarding the reason behind her appearance on the show.
Several main roster superstars have made appearances on the white and gold brand. Becky Lynch is the latest to do so. She is scheduled to not only make an appearance but have an NXT women’s title match against Tiffany Stratton next week.
NXT shared the same airing day with AEW Dynamite on Wednesdays as the Wednesday Wars were on. However, NXT moved to Tuesdays while Dynamite remained on Wednesdays.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that aside from storyline purpose, WWE also wanted NXT to beat AEW Dynamite’s ratings in the 18 to 49 demographics and that’s why Lynch’s appearance.
There is no doubt that Becky Lynch could draw attention of the fans and help with the ratings with her NXT Women’s Champion match against Tiffany Stratton.
“So, they’re going in for the kill next week [for WWE NXT]. They’re determined to beat AEW Dynamite in the 18 to 49 demographic,” Alvarez mentioned.
On the latest edition of NXT, Becky Lynch appeared on the big screen and laid the challenge to Stratton for the title match. Soon, WWE officially announced that the title match will take place on next week’s episode of NXT.
