Ivanka Trump is being forced to testify against her father.

Ivanka Trump may have to testify in the New York court where his father Donald Trump’s fraud trial is underway. Ivanka hasn’t been a part of the Trump Organization since 2017, but she holds information that could come in handy.
While there are people who refute this information, including Ivanka’s lawyers there are some other who think that her testimony will be important in the ongoing case. Trump, his sons, and the Trump Organization has been charged with inflating their actual wealth to secure business loans and deals.
Trump has already been in the court for this trial, but Ivanka’s fate in this regard will be determined on Friday when the court session starts hearing the issue. Judge Arthur Engoron will have to make the call on when Ivanka will start testifying in the case.
Will Ivanka Trump testify against Donald Trump?
New York Attorney General Letitia James has brought this case. James, a democrat, has been attacked by Trump saying she is trying to create this case for political reasons. Attorney Bennet Moskowitz who spoke on behalf of Ivanka in this case said the attorney general’s office was trying “to impose a heavy, unnecessary and improper burden on Ms. Trump to fill apparent gaps” in the state’s case.

According to Associated Press, Donald Trump wasn’t far behind and his defense accused the state of an attempt “to needlessly haul Ms. Trump into a highly publicized trial for the obvious purpose of harassment of both Ms. Trump and her father.”
It needs to be seen on what comes out of this situation and will Ivanka be the next in line to testify in the court. No one can confirm the actual status as of this writing.
