Triple H Melts Down After CM Punk Report

In the world of professional wrestling, rumors and speculation often run rampant, and the recent buzz around CM Punk’s potential return is no exception. While CM Punk has not made a comeback to any wrestling company since his departure from AEW, fans continue to speculate on the Second City Savior’s future in the industry.

Sean Sapp, addressing the situation on Fightful’s platform during a Q&A session, shared an intriguing insight. According to Sapp, Triple H has internally commented on fans perceiving CM Punk teases that may not be grounded in reality.

When questioned about the situation, Sapp stated, “I asked the same thing when I spoke to a higher up. My exact quote was ‘unrealistic expectations are set because of the references on WWE TV, whether there’s plausible deniability or not.’ I was told that those talent are not clearing those lines. It is worth noting that the references on commentary completely stopped after WWE Fastlane. Nakamura did occasionally use the GTS. Triple H had told some in the company that fans were finding things that weren’t there.”

In a recent Q&A session behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp delved into the ongoing speculation about CM Punk’s potential return to professional wrestling. Notably, Triple H has reportedly made internal comments expressing concern over fans perceiving CM Punk teases that may not have a basis in reality.

The discussion emphasized that the likelihood of CM Punk returning to AEW is incredibly low, given the apparent strain in his relationship with Tony Khan’s company. Despite the challenges with AEW, the Q&A explored the possibilities of Punk exploring opportunities with other wrestling promotions, such as TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) and NJPW (New Japan Pro-Wrestling).

Regarding TNA, it was mentioned that the promotion has expressed interest in CM Punk, and he could potentially join them if he decides to do so. The door seems open for Punk to explore opportunities with TNA.

Similarly, the Q&A touched upon NJPW, and it was suggested that there seems to be an open door for CM Punk with the Japanese promotion. Rocky Romero’s previous response to Fightful indicated that NJPW might give Tony Khan a heads up about Punk’s potential involvement, and they believe it would be acceptable.

TNA has communicated their interest in CM Punk, and have enjoyed having him at their shows. Yes, he could absolutely go there if he chooses.

Based on Rocky Romero’s answer to Fightful weeks ago, it would appear the door is open to NJPW as well. Romero said that he and NJPW would likely give Tony Khan a heads up about it, and they think it would be okay.
