It has been noted that Jessica Tarlov lost it on a co-host who said President Joe Biden only won the 2020 election as social media platforms suppressed the story about his son’s laptop via Mediaite.
Prior to the 2020 election, platforms such as Twitter and Facebook restricted content about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which the Trump administration’s FBI said could be part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
The laptop was allegedly left at a Delaware computer repair shop, where an employee made copies of the hard drive that ultimately ended up in the possession of Rudy Giuliani and was covered by right-wing media. Among other contents, the hard drive shows explicit photos of Hunter Biden naked and doing drugs.
Republicans have argued that suppression of the laptop story helped Joe Biden become president.
On Friday’s installment of The Five, Tarlov – a regular on the show – became frustrated with the four guest hosts who repeatedly interrupted her, culminating with the claim that the president won thanks to social media’s handling of the laptop story.
“If you go and look at the RealClearPolitics average or the 538 average, you see that Joe Biden is around two points down in the averages there,” Tarlov said. “There are a slew of polls including swing state polls where he’s leading Donald Trump. And frankly, there’s this denialism about what the last elections have said. Democrats won in 2020. Joe Biden did that by millions of votes on top of it.”
“By suppressing a laptop,” interjected Rachel Campos-Duffy.
“Oh my God!” Tarlov exclaimed. “You think Hunter Biden’s penis pictures were gonna sway this!”
Tarlov and Campos-Duffy talked over one another before Tarlov declared, “I don’t wanna see any more penis pictures or crack pipes.”
“Hopefully we won’t,” Katie Pavlich said. “And Hunter Biden’s laptop is wrapped up.”
