WWE Legend Dies Suddenly At 76-Years Old

Killer Khan, the renowned WWE icon known for his epic clashes with legends like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, has passed away at the age of 76. Masashi Ozawa, wrestling under the ring name Killer Khan, succumbed to health complications around 10 pm on Saturday. Reports indicate that he was urgently taken to the hospital due to a ruptured artery after collapsing at the counter of his Tokyo-based restaurant, Jinjo Sakaba.

A native of Niigata Prefecture, Ozawa entered professional wrestling in 1971, engaging in memorable bouts with WWE figures such as Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan. He maintained a friendship with Hogan outside the ring.

Beyond wrestling, Ozawa showcased his versatility by venturing into the music industry in 2005, debuting as a singer with the track “Furusato Makaka” (“Japan Crown”). Following his retirement, he entered the restaurant business, establishing Izakaya Kanchan in Shinjuku. Unfortunately, the establishment had to close in 2021 due to the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We extend our deepest condolences to Masashi Ozawa’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
