Trump 2024 National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently joined far-right provocateur Benny Johnson on his podcast Tuesday and talked about the right-wing frenzy over Taylor Swift.
“Final thoughts. Do you think Taylor Swift is going to come out and endorse Joe? Do you think that this is a big setup?” Johnson asked.
“That’s the word on the street. The Democrats are pushing for it,” Leavitt replied.
Swift has become an obsession of right-wing media in recent months due to her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce who sparked fury on the right by cutting an ad for Pfizer.
Swift has since been the target of wild conspiracy theories, including Fox News’s Jesse Watters suggesting she’s a “Pentagon asset” and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy claiming the Super Bowl is rigged to boost Swift’s upcoming Biden endorsement.
“They’re calling it their Hail Mary pass to drag Biden over the finish line. Here’s the deal. I don’t think people are going to take advice from someone who flies around on a private jet, has private security when they’re paying thousands of dollars more just to live. That might not be a lot of money for Taylor Swift. She may not feel the impact of Bidenomics, but millions of people across this country are,” Leavitt continued, adding:
She should stick to writing songs. And by the way, Benny, this woman has made a career off of writing songs about picking the wrong guy. We should not trust her to pick the wrong guy in this presidential election.
“Yeah. Write songs about how horrible her decision-making process is with men. Endorses Joe Biden. Yeah, you got it. Okay, good,” Johnson replied.
“Yeah. There’s the catalog owned by George Soros,” Johnson added, name-checking the Jewish billionaire and favorite target of the right.
