Donald Trump Desperately Begs Elon Musk For…

It has been noted  that New York Times correspondent and CNN analyst Maggie Haberman dropped the scoop that multiple sources confirm former President Donald Trump met with Elon Musk along with a select few wealthy GOP donors via Mediaite.

Because Haberman is regarded as an authority on Trump and has extensive experience covering the topic, along with a network of Trumpworld contacts that provide her with the most recent information, her reporting and analysis are noteworthy. Not surprisingly, Trump is known to read Haberman’s material in great detail, which elevates her to a special position of influence in Trumpworld.

Furthermore, Trump himself finds it difficult to stop phoning Haberman when he needs someone to listen, even though he is ready to snap at her when he doesn’t like something she reports.

The team’s most recent insider reporting, which includes Jonathan Swan and Ryan Mac, paints a campaign in financial distress that is searching for wealthy donors like Musk to save it from President Joe Biden’s larger war chest. This information could prove to be triggering for Trump.

Donald Trump, who is urgently seeking a cash infusion to aid his presidential campaign, met on Sunday in Palm Beach, Fla., with Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men, and a few wealthy Republican donors, according to three people briefed on the meeting who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private discussion.

Mr. Trump and his team are working to find additional major donors to shore up his finances as he heads into an expected general election against President Biden. Mr. Trump has praised Mr. Musk to allies and hopes to have a one-on-one meeting with the billionaire soon, according to a person who has discussed the matter with Mr. Trump.

It’s not yet clear whether Mr. Musk plans to spend any of his fortune on Mr. Trump’s behalf. But his recent social media posts suggest he thinks it’s essential that Mr. Biden be defeated in November — and people who have spoken to Mr. Musk privately confirmed that is indeed his view.

The report details Musk’s escalating anti-immigrant rhetoric, including his recent promotion of false conspiracy theories about cheating in elections and his public antipathy toward President Biden.

“The person close to Mr. Musk, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that if he does get behind Mr. Trump, his views about immigration will have been a significant motivator,” Haberman and co. wrote.

Whoever the sources are or why they blabbed to Haberman is less important than how Trump will view the news that his circle is projecting the image of a campaign passing the hat and wooing another self-styled disruptor like Musk — with Haberman as the vehicle of delivery.
