After being dismissed from his position as a Fox News opinion host, Tucker Carlson went live on X following President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday night. In a swift declaration, Carlson asserted that Democrats “are going to steal the election” from Donald Trump in 2024.
During his livestream, Carlson expressed skepticism about Biden’s chances in a fair election, claiming that the media avoids acknowledging that Biden cannot win in such a scenario. He played a clip from MSNBC where host Chris Hayes praised Biden’s political acumen, which Carlson mockingly challenged.
According to Carlson, despite Biden supposedly being skilled in politics, he questioned why Biden would be losing to someone the media portrayed as a “retarded racist” like Donald Trump. Carlson then argued that Democrats are not giving up and are planning to steal the election, pointing to a clip of Attorney General Merrick Garland discussing concerns about discriminatory voting restrictions.
In response, Carlson criticized Garland for suggesting that asking for IDs when voting is immoral, racist, and illegal. While acknowledging the debate around voter ID laws, Carlson failed to address that audits following the 2020 election found Trump’s allegations of widespread voter fraud to be baseless.
Tucker Carlson on fire:
