Trump Ally Deals Big Blow To Biden Impeachment

Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani, rebuked what he labeled as false assertions made by ex-President Donald Trump concerning the Biden family during his testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.

Parnas, who collaborated with Giuliani in efforts to uncover information on the Bidens, asserted during the GOP-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden that Trump, Giuliani, and others propagated falsehoods for personal gain, knowing it would undermine the nation’s integrity.

“The American people have been lied to by Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and various cohorts of individuals in government and media positions,” Parnas said during his opening statement. “They created falsehoods to serve their own interests knowing it would undermine the strength of our nation.”

He highlighted that the only sources driving allegations against the Bidens regarding Ukraine were from Russia and Russian agents, emphasizing that the American people had been misled.

Contextually, the House of Representatives initiated an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s conduct, primarily focusing on allegations that he used his position as vice president to benefit his son, Hunter Biden’s business dealings. These allegations prompted a vote along party lines, with Republicans leading the charge.

Parnas’s testimony stands in contrast to assertions made by Trump, who has denied any involvement in Hunter Biden’s business activities. The White House has dismissed the GOP’s impeachment efforts as frivolous and unproductive.

“To defend the Biden CTrump rime Family, Democrats brought in convicted felon Lev Parnas who just said that the claims that the Bidens corruptly made money in Ukraine came from ‘Russian agents,'” Price said.

Parnas, who was convicted of fraud and campaign finance crimes in 2021, was called upon by Democrats to testify. His appearance drew commentary from both liberal and conservative circles, with differing interpretations of his reliability as a witness.

Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of the MeidasTouch website, applauded Parnas’s testimony, suggesting it exposed corruption within Trump’s circle. On the other hand, Greg Price, communications director for the State Freedom Caucus Network, expressed skepticism, casting doubt on Parnas’s credibility.

In addition to Parnas, the House Oversight Committee also summoned two former business associates of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis, for testimony.
