Star Trek Star Reveals Racist Trump Remark

It seems that Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of ABC’s The View is not a fan in refering to former President Donald Trump by name, but on Tuesday, she was so “enraged” by comments he made that she felt the need to address him directly via Mediaite.

It has been noted that in the lengthy Time Magazine story that included several interviews with Trump about how he’d run his second term if he is reelected president. At one point, Trump stated that “There is a definite anti-white feeling in the country” and “that can’t be allowed.” Goldberg took issue with that:

Goldberg: This is my favorite. And I’m going to tell you before I say it that it enraged me. “There is a definite anti-white feeling in the country right now.”

Joy Behar: Oh, please.

Goldberg: That’s what he said. You know, Sir?

Behar: “Sir”?

Goldberg: Yeah, Sir. Nobody in your family was hung. Nobody in your family was chased because of the color of their skin. How dare you? There’s no anti-white issue here. You are perpetrating anti-humanist issues here. So the question is, is he the future? Is he the future? Well, I gotta ask! You know, that’s the gig, they pay me.

The co-hosts spent the rest of the segment discussing other parts of the interview, including Trump’s comments about possible political violence. His response: “If we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of the election.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former advisor to Trump who now opposes his reelection, warned: “[T]he things he says we should take literally. And I’ve said this a thousand times, there won’t be guardrails next time.”
