WWE Getting Rid Of Star After Draft

Scrypts, previously known as Reggie, is set to leave the company as his contract will not be renewed when it expires at the beginning of June. This news comes from Fightful Select, which reports that Scrypts has been informed of his upcoming free agency and is expected to use his real name, Sidney Akeem, in his future wrestling endeavors.

Scrypts gained attention with his initial appearance in NXT through a series of cryptic promos. However, he struggled to make a significant impact during his tenure. Before moving to NXT and adopting the Scrypts persona, he was part of the main WWE roster under the name Reginald, where he served as Carmella’s valet and became involved in the 24/7 title scene. His debut as Scrypts on NXT came on November 22, 2022, where he donned a mask and joined the brand.

”Fightful Select has learned that Scrypts’, formerly known as Reggie, contract is set to expire at the start of June. He’s been informed that the deal will be expiring and he will be a free agent. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that Scrypts, who will likely go by Sidney Akeem, plans to continue wrestling and expected his deal to not be renewed.”

Despite his upcoming departure from WWE, Scrypts continued to remain active, recently featuring in a Snickers commercial alongside OTM and the Street Profits. His expected exit from WWE suggests a fresh start in the wrestling world, with potential opportunities to join other promotions as a free agent.

With his departure from WWE, the wrestling community is eager to see where Sidney Akeem will take his career next. Given his experience and versatility, he could find new opportunities in various wrestling organizations and continue to entertain audiences with his unique style and presence.
