It has been noted that former WWE star Jimmy Wang Yang had been one of the most popular stars for the company in the mid card. He recently revealed that Triple H made a bizarre pitch to former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon which led to the latter questioning ‘The Game.’
Speaking to Steve Fall of Ringside News, Jimmy Wang Yang talked about a behind-the-scenes story about the origin of the “Flying Elvis” gimmick. According to Yang, the concept was actually the brainchild of Triple H.
“The Flying Elvis came about, you know, that gimmick is actually Triple H’s idea. He wanted Flying Elvises, yeah.”
Yang recalled how the idea was pitched to Vince McMahon. He revealed that Triple H, Vince Russo, and Shawn Michaels were the brains behind the proposal. They presented this concept to Vince, who took a moment to consider it.
“Hunter told me the story about the Flying Elvises. He said, ‘Me, Russo, and Michaels went to Vince to pitch this idea about having Flying Elvises of different races.’
