Ron DeSantis Reveals If He’s Banning Trump From…

The media’s attempt to sensationalize the possibility of Donald Trump losing his voting rights after his conviction on 34 felony counts has been met with pushback and clarification from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis clarified that Trump has not lost his voting rights in Florida, where he is registered to vote. In Florida, voting rights are only revoked if they have already been stripped in the jurisdiction where the individual was convicted. Since Trump’s voting rights haven’t been removed in New York, where he was convicted, he retains his right to vote in Florida.

Moreover, DeSantis noted that given the nature of the prosecution in New York, Trump could easily qualify for the restoration of his voting rights through the Florida Clemency Board, which DeSantis chairs.

This clarification rebuts the media’s attempts to sensationalize the situation and suggests that Trump’s ability to vote in the upcoming elections is not in jeopardy. The media’s focus on this issue reflects their continued efforts to undermine Trump even after his conviction, but DeSantis’s statement provides a more accurate picture of the situation.
