According to an exclusive source speaking to In Touch, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly “barely eating” amid her marital issues with Ben Affleck. The news comes amidst reports of troubles in their relationship, with sources suggesting they are on the brink of divorce.
During a recent episode of LIVE With Kelly and Mark, Jennifer, 54, disclosed that she had lost weight while filming her upcoming movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman. She attributed her weight loss to the demanding nature of the role, which involved singing and dancing. “Now, I’m ready to go. I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been. I’m in fighting shape right now,” she revealed.
Filming for the movie began in March, around the same time Jen and Ben, 51, started experiencing difficulties in their marriage. In Touch previously reported that the couple was “headed for a divorce,” with Ben already moving out of their shared home and into a rental in Brentwood, California.
Despite a few public appearances together for their children, the couple has been spending increasing amounts of time apart. Jennifer has been busy promoting her new movie Atlas, while Ben has been occupied with filming The Accountant 2 and spending time with his kids in California. Notably, he did not accompany Jennifer to events such as the Met Gala or the premiere of Atlas earlier this month.
Sources close to the couple suggest that Jennifer is in denial about the state of their relationship. “But it’s over, and this will go down as the divorce of the century,” one insider remarked.
This isn’t the first time that their relationship has faced challenges. After calling off their wedding in 2003 and subsequently breaking off their engagement, both stars went on to have families with other partners. However, they rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022.
Despite their efforts to make it work this time around, familiar issues seem to have resurfaced. Both Jennifer and Ben hinted at marital struggles in the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, with Jennifer admitting discomfort with their relationship being in the public eye and Ben acknowledging the need for compromise.
