Donald Trump is good friends with the McMahon family. Shane McMahon has been keeping a low profile following his absence from WWE after WrestleMania 39. However, rumors noted that he may consider a return to professional wrestling. McMahon allegedly reached out to AEW talent about a potential move to the company.
There has been speculation about Shane McMahon’s future in wrestling as it remains uncertain. However, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently spoke about the idea of Shane McMahon joining AEW. Ross didn’t rule out that happening as he stated it might be crazy enough to work.
“Yeah, it would. It’s so crazy that it might work, depending on how it was positioned and how it was introduced. Shane called me the other day, he’s called me two or three times, which I really appreciate. He’s always been sensitive in that respect. That’s only a question that Shane could answer. Shane and Tony Khan being together, how would that work creatively, heck, who knows? Might be great. But in any event, that all depends on Shane and what he wants to do.”
Speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross’ co-host Conrad Thompson revealed that he received a text from a friend claiming Shane McMahon had reached out to AEW talents about potentially joining the promotion.
