Sources familiar with the situation revealed that Hunter has been advising his father closely since the family convened at Camp David over the weekend following last week’s debate. He has reportedly joined several meetings and phone calls where President Biden consulted his advisors.
According to one insider, some senior White House staff have reacted with surprise, questioning the unusual circumstances.
In response to questions about Hunter Biden’s role, White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates explained, “Hunter returned with the President from their family weekend at Camp David and immediately engaged in speech preparation alongside him.”
Despite facing recent legal issues, including a conviction on gun charges last month, Hunter Biden has purportedly been a staunch supporter of his father, encouraging him to remain in the presidential race amid mounting speculation about Biden’s candidacy.
