Funeral arrangements have been announced for Corey Comperatore, the heroic firefighter killed during the recent assassination attempt against former President Trump. A public procession will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, starting from Freeport Community Park in Freeport, Pennsylvania, and proceeding to Laube Hall in Freeport. Visitation hours at Laube Hall will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cabot Methodist Church in Cabot, Pennsylvania, or Buffalo Township Firehall in Sarver, Pennsylvania.
Corey Comperatore lost his life protecting others during the rally when shots were fired from a nearby rooftop, injuring several attendees including himself. His final moments were spent shielding his daughter from gunfire, showing off immense bravery.
Former President Trump, unable to attend the funeral, expressed his condolences to Comperatore’s family and praised his heroic actions. A GoFundMe campaign for Comperatore’s widow has raised over $1.2 million in support since his tragic death.
