On Wednesday, President Joe Biden, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, used his diagnosis to criticize Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump. Biden’s initial post on X announced his illness, but he quickly followed up with a message condemning Musk and Trump for their political influence, urging supporters to donate to his campaign. The post included photos of Musk and Trump and a link to Biden’s donation page.
Musk, who endorsed Trump for the 2024 presidential election, has been critical of Biden’s age and immigration policies. Musk has also been reported to plan a significant donation to a pro-Trump group, though he later dismissed the report as false on X.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed Biden’s positive test after an event in Las Vegas. The President, who is vaccinated and boosted, will return to Delaware to self-isolate and continue his duties. Despite his diagnosis, Biden stated he felt good and was seen boarding Air Force One without a mask. This is his second positive test for COVID-19, the first being in 2022.
