The call was released to suggest Swift had consented to derogatory lyrics about her in West’s song “Famous,” which she later denied. In a 2023 interview, Swift reflected on the impact of the controversy, describing it as a deeply distressing period in her life.
Swift’s 2023 album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” features a track titled “thanK you aIMee,” with capital letters spelling out “Kim,” hinting at Kardashian. The song includes veiled references that Swift’s fans speculate are directed at Kardashian.
