In a recent video posted by Noah Formica, a Field Representative for Turning Point Action in Pennsylvania, a woman was seen making alarming statements about President Donald J. Trump. This incident occurred a week after an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, nearly took the former president’s life.
Formica, who was with volunteers registering new voters, recorded the woman’s outburst. She expressed a desire for Trump to be shot, stating she wanted to “get rid of him.” Her rant also included bizarre and offensive comments about illegal immigrants and their deportation under Trump’s administration. The video quickly went viral, accumulating over 3,000 reposts on X (formerly Twitter) and nearly 500,000 views within hours.
According to Formica, he initially approached the woman to inquire about her voter registration status. Her response escalated into hostile and violent rhetoric, including threats towards a staff member. Formica, who has registered thousands of new voters in Pennsylvania, condemned her behavior, stating, “We kindly asked this woman if she was registered to vote, and she turned hostile. She was inciting violence on President Trump multiple times and even threatened one of our staffers by telling him he deserved to be shot as well. The lady said she was Christian as well. No Christian should act like this.”
James Copenhaver, a retired undercover police detective and liaison to the Joint Terrorism Task Force, described the video as “shocking” and raised serious concerns about the potential for political violence leading up to the November 5th election. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation by law enforcement agencies to address both the perpetrators and any sympathizers who may be inciting or planning similar acts of violence.
Copenhaver, who has extensively commented on domestic terrorism incidents, stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of political leaders and the integrity of democratic processes. “The fact that there are individuals openly advocating for the murder of a political figure is a serious threat to our democratic process and national security. This situation compels us to question the effectiveness and readiness of the United States Secret Service, the FBI, and other law enforcement agencies.”
