WWE Legend Says Stars Tried To Kill Him

WWE legend Bret Hart doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind. He often talks about Goldberg accusing him of ending his career. Now, he has decided to take a shot at Booker T as well because he claims the former 5-time World Champion is also guilty of trying to damage him in the squared circle during his WCW run.

The WWE Hall of Famer has often criticized Goldberg and blamed him for ending his in-ring career prematurely due to a concussion from a kick at WCW Starrcade in 1999. During a virtual signing for Signed by Superstars, Hart discussed his issues with Goldberg and also commented on Booker T, specifically mentioning Booker T’s Scissor Kick finishing move.

Reflecting on the move, Hart stated that it was “really dangerous” and felt that both Booker T and Goldberg were “trying to kill him.” He obviously didn’t like taking the Jackhammer or Scissors Kick at all, and decades later, he has a lot of blame to pass along.

“Man, that’s a really dangerous move, that one (Bret said while looking at a photo of Booker T doing Scissors Kick to him) … When he did that to me, it drove my head right into the mat… Between him and Goldberg, they were trying to kill me.”

“That was a really dangerous move. I had to tell him to stop. He couldn’t do it to me anymore. He (did it to) me two or three times and every time he did, drove my head right into the — almost right through the boards.”

Bret Hart has wrestled several times in WCW after the kick from Goldberg that caused his career-ending concussion. After years away from WWE, Bret Hart finally returned in 2010, where he actually wrestled in a tag team match to wrap up his legendary career. On September 12, 2011, Bret Hart participated in his last match during an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. Teaming up with John Cena, Hart faced Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This match marked the end of Hart’s in-ring career.
