Kevin Smith recently shared that Ben Affleck will reach out when he’s in a better place amidst his ongoing marital issues with Jennifer Lopez. Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Smith acknowledged that Affleck has been facing challenges, as reported in the media.
Smith explained that although his wife suggested he should contact Affleck, he refrained from doing so, feeling that his tendency to speak freely might not be helpful at this time. Smith plans to reconnect with Affleck when he starts filming the next “Jay and Silent Bob” movie in the fall.
The two have collaborated on several films, including “Chasing Amy” and “Dogma,” and Smith even attended Affleck and Lopez’s second wedding in August 2022. He recalled being very emotional during the ceremony and praised Affleck’s heartfelt 12-page vows to Lopez.
Despite their past close relationship, Affleck and Lopez have been spending significant time apart recently, including their second wedding anniversary and Lopez’s 55th birthday. While their current relationship status remains unconfirmed, sources suggest their marriage has faced difficulties.
