WWE Name Departs After 23 Years

It has come to light via PW Insider that another behind-the-scenes member is departing  WWE.

The outlet reported that Jason Robinson is leaving the company. Robinson was WWE’s lead Production Designer and had been with the company for over 23 years.

PWInsider’s report notes that he is either finishing up this week or finished at Bash In Berlin this past weekend.

People who worked with Robinson touted him as being “highly thought of” and “incredibly talented”.

“He started with a background in theater and opera in terms of creating and designing sets before moving into the television realm.”

He has been “very much considered a Kevin Dunn guy during his run with the company.” It has been noted that he had a hand in creating just about every modern major event and television set.

The report added that there were a lot of people shocked that he was exiting, noting he was as important as one can imagine when it came to designing the look and feel of WWE’s broadcast product. Whether it’s Wrestlemania or the Thunderdome, Robinson had his fingers in all of those WWE events and broadcasts, and lots more. It is very much the end of an era.

WWE has been making some changes lately after the TKO merger. Several executives have been let go from the management and recently Michele Carlucci, WWE’s Director of Production Travel, was also let go from the company. Her exit from the company signifies the culmination of a lengthy and committed tenure with WWE, beginning in 1988.
