Legendary actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are two of the biggest names in Hollywood. Their rivalry has been iconic in the industry. The greatness has created long-lasting trouble between them. Nevertheless, they share a bittersweet bonding throughout the years due to their enemy-friends relationship. Their bromance reached another level in 2012 when they were spotted together, not in a movie, but in a hospital.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone was spotted in hospital
In 2012, Arnold had a packed year in terms of action films on the whole. He had completed shooting for “The Last Stand” and “The Expendables 2.” However, during the shoots, he got minor niggles in his shoulder during the action scenes. Arnold wrote:
“After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little …”.
Coincidentally, his co-star in “The Expendables 2” detected an issue with his shoulder too. Further adding to the co-incidents, both the stars got their surgery scheduled one after the other, and that too in the same hospital. Arnold revealed via Twitter, he wrote:
“Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery.”
Both superstars had minor surgeries done successfully to their shoulders and got discharged later the same day. Arnold’s surgery was scheduled before Sylvester Stallone. The 7X Mr. Olympia underwent rotator-cuff surgery and was shifted to a room where Stallone was waiting for his turn after Arnold’s surgery. The source said, “Sly had told [the staff] not to start the surgery until Arnold woke up, so when [Arnold] woke up, [Sly] was right there”.
The former competitors and friends, Schwarzenegger and Stallone, looked very relaxed and had fun post-surgery. Schwarzenegger even tweeted their picture of laughing together post-surgery. Schwarzenegger tweeted, “Now we’re ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb. #greattobeback”.
