A video clip recently surfaced on social media where Brock Lesnar shared a wholesome moment with Jey Uso’s son before SummerSlam. Lesnar gave him a hug and even fist-bumped boy.

Lesnar faced Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. It was Rhodes who managed to put him down for a pin. Rhodes came out stronger than ever from this feud and now boasts two big wins over Lesnar.
The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Brock Lesnar “was injured early in the match where he put over Cody Rhodes” last Saturday (Aug. 5). There’s no specifics about the type of injury or a timeframe for recovery from it, but that might not matter anyway.
As he discussed earlier this week on a podcast, Dave Meltzer writes that Lesnar doesn’t factor into WWE’s plans for the rest of 2023.
“[Lesnar] was at one point advertised for stuff later this year. As of right now … the plan is for him to return on the television building up the Royal Rumble and from there going to WrestleMania.”
Meanwhile, for Jey Uso it has been quite a journey for the former Bloodline member. His trust was broken by Sami Zayn earlier this year when the latter turned on Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble 2023. Jey and Jimmy Uso went on to lose the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles to Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 39.
Shortly after Jimmy Uso betrayed Roman Reigns at Night of Champions, Jey aligned with his brother and turned on Reigns as well. Little did he know that Jimmy was going to betray him as well. At SummerSlam, the unthinkable happened and Jimmy attacked his own blood, leading to Reigns’ victory over Jey.
