Brock Lesnar Gets Drunk With Top WWE Star

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes story from WrestleMania 38 involving himself and Brock Lesnar. Austin made a triumphant return to in-ring action after a nearly 19-year absence, defeating Kevin Owens at the event. Additionally, he delivered his signature Stone Cold Stunner to Vince McMahon, Austin Theory, and Pat McAfee on the second night of the show. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar faced Roman Reigns in a high-stakes Winner Takes All match for the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Austin delved into a memorable moment that unfolded backstage at WrestleMania 38. He recounted how he and Lesnar had been wanting to bond and enjoy a few drinks together. After Lesnar’s intense main event match with Reigns concluded, Austin and Lesnar agreed to meet in Lesnar’s locker room.

Accompanied by Larry, a longtime WWE trainer, and Pat McAfee, the group gathered and began passing around a bottle of liquor. Austin revealed that they initially started drinking from small cups but soon transitioned to drinking directly from the bottle. Over the course of an hour, the four men polished off a fifth of Maker’s Mark, a popular whiskey brand. However, the aftermath wasn’t without consequences, as Austin mentioned that a couple of the guys woke up with severe headaches the following day.

Despite the potential hangovers, Austin regarded the impromptu gathering as a bonding moment for the group. He highlighted the camaraderie shared between himself, Lesnar, Larry, and McAfee, noting that it was particularly special given his limited acquaintance with McAfee at the time.

For Austin, this behind-the-scenes moment stood out as one of the highlights of WrestleMania 38. It showcased the off-camera connections and shared experiences that contribute to the tight-knit nature of the wrestling community. As the interview concluded, Austin’s story provided fans with a unique glimpse into the personal interactions and bonds that form backstage.

“So, the show happens. I go out there, stun all those cats. Brock Lesnar gets done with his match, the main event with Roman Reigns. And me and Brock have been wanting to bond together and have a few cocktails to begin with, and he goes, ‘hey man, you got anything?’ I said, ‘yeah.’ I said, ‘where we’re meeting?’ He goes, ‘my locker room.’ So, was myself, Brock Lesnar, Larry (one of the trainers who’s been there forever), and Pat McAfee. We just passed the bottle around.

First we were drinking out of little cups then it just turned into the bottle, and we took down a fifth of Maker’s Mark in about an hour, and then we all went our separate ways. And I heard that a couple of those guys woke up with severe headaches. But it was a bonding moment, you know, after a big show like that, us four guys. And I just met, barely met Pat, but he was already one of the boys because of his football background and how everybody in WWE is taken to him. And me and Brock’s relationship goes back a long way as does Larry. So, it was a good time. And that was one of my highlights of WrestleMania, a behind the scenes moment that I shared with you.”
