According to People, Rumer Willis, daughter of iconic actor Bruce Willis, expressed her family’s joy at the availability of her father’s breakout television series, “Moonlighting,” for streaming on Hulu. While attending the opening night of “Love Actually Live” at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Rumer shared her excitement about the show’s accessibility, stating that her family used to watch it on videotapes from her father’s closet.

 


 

The 35-year-old actress highlighted the convenience of not having to search for episodes on YouTube anymore and emphasized the joy of being able to watch the series anytime. “Moonlighting,” a comedy-drama TV series, originally aired on ABC from March 1985 to May 1989 and starred Bruce Willis as Detective David Addison alongside Cybill Shepherd.

Rumer fondly spoke about the family tradition of watching the show on videotapes and expressed their excitement about the streaming availability. She described “Moonlighting” as one of her favorite projects of her father, emphasizing its significance in his career.

The series, which ran for 67 episodes, earned critical acclaim and various awards during its original run, including Golden Globe Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Bruce Willis received an Emmy Award in 1987 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in “Moonlighting.”

Rumer also shared insights into her baby daughter, Louetta Isley, born in April with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. Drawing parallels between her father’s expressions in “Moonlighting” and her daughter’s discerning looks, Rumer expressed the joy that Louetta brings into her life, calling her the “joy of my life” and her “little best friend.”
