Cobra Kai actress Mary Mouser has quite impressively embraced gray hairs. A photo of her in Season 5 of Cobra Kai in a swimsuit can be seen below.
Mary Mouser talks about gray hair
In an interview with Shape, the 26-year-old revealed that she has been covering up “a lot” of gray hair to play her role as a 17-year-old in the martial arts comedy-drama.
Graying hair can be a touchy subject for many women due to stigmas surrounding aging, but Mouser could not be more confident in her gray strands.
“This is just genetically how my hair is supposed to be,” she said.
To keep her curls healthy, she says she washes it with conditioner (co-washing) and tries to avoid heat as much as possible, which is admittedly easier said than done in her field of work.
“Sometimes I don’t get a choice in that matter,” she said.
She went on to explain that she views her graying hair as the epitome of beauty and finds a certain sense of sauciness in her gray strands.
“I love them [my gray hairs]. I think that they’re just gorgeous. I think they’re so sexy. I find it so hot,” she said.
She looks in the mirror and notices a gray hair that seemingly appeared out of nowhere for Mouser and she considers it to bea symbol of confidence and self-assuredness.
“When I see a new gray hair coming on me, I’m like, oh my God, I’m feeling myself today,” she said.
In addition to self-confidence, Mouser is also quite fond of her wellness routine. To prepare for her role as Samantha LaRusso, she took up Muay Thai, a total body combat sport and has since kept up with martial art-focused exercises even when she is not filming.
“That’s been the thing that I stick with even in my off-season… It’s fun and it’s therapeutic for me at this point.”
