Diddy Gives In After Mayor Demands…

Diddy has returned New York City’s Key to the City after Mayor Eric Adams requested it back in light of disturbing developments involving the artist. TMZ obtained letters from Mayor Adams addressed to Diddy, expressing deep concern over a video involving Cassie, which he described as deeply disturbing and indicative of domestic abuse. The Mayor emphasized his support for survivors of such abuse and stated that the Key to the City is reserved for individuals who exemplify model citizenship, a standard he felt Diddy no longer met.

Sources confirmed to TMZ that Diddy received these letters on June 4, and promptly responded by returning the Key to the City on June 10. Despite returning the key, Diddy’s name remains in the city’s log of recipients, accompanied by a statement indicating its rescission due to actions related to domestic and gender-based violence.

Diddy had received the Key to the City less than a year ago and had been pictured proudly with Mayor Adams at the time. However, allegations and legal issues soon followed, including a lawsuit from Cassie in November alleging assault, to which Diddy has denied any wrongdoing but did admit to beating Cassie after the video surfaced.

Currently, Diddy faces several legal challenges, including sexual assault lawsuits and a federal investigation into allegations of sex and narcotics trafficking. The decision to return the Key to the City comes after significant pressure from New York City politicians and community figures, who urged Mayor Adams to revoke the honor given Diddy’s circumstances.
