It has been noted that former President Donald Trump has claimed that President Joe Biden “was locked & loaded ready to take me out & put my family in danger” in a campaign plea based on a right-wing concoction via Mediaite.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has claimed that she was the one who told Trump about the non-existent danger Trump faced when the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago while he wasn’t there.
“I made sure that he knew. The Biden DOJ and FBI were planning to assassinate Pres Trump and gave the green light,” Greene wrote after Trump posted a message ranting that Biden’s DOJ “AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE” during the raid — which is true only in that armed law enforcement are always authorized to use deadly force if warranted.
Trump took Greene’s fiction further in a new campaign email in which he insists Biden was, himself, “locked & loaded” to take Trump out:
