Former President Donald Trump recently held a rally in the Bronx on Thursday where he had explained that people often ask him the reason he bothers to leave the house in the morning via Mediaite.
The former President is currently on trial in neighboring Manhattan as he faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments. It has been noted that the prosecutors stated Trump paid three individuals to keep quiet about extramarital affairs he had, lest they adversely impact his election prospects in 2016.
Trump has also pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies the affairs. He is also under criminal indictment in three other jurisdictions.
Well, despite losing New York elections by wide margins in 2016 and 2020, the presumptive GOP nominee held a rally in the largely the South Bronx, where he mostly replayed his greatest hits. At one point he claimed he is frequently asked about his literal trials and tribulations.
“Some of the greatest days of my business career were in the toughest times, but I enjoyed waking up every single morning and go to battle,” he told the audience. “A lot of people say to me today – the toughest business people, people that you know about – ‘Could I ask you a question? How do you do it?’ I say, ‘Do what?’ ‘How do you get up in the morning and put your pants on? Why do you put the pants on?’ I’ll explain it to you someday. ‘How do you do it? How do you get up? How do you do it?’”
Trump then railed against his two impeachments and the various lawsuits against him.
“And they’re doing it to injure the political opponent of an incompetent candidate because he can’t run fairly and squarely,” he said of President Joe Biden. “And I say, ‘You know what I do? I just do it. I put on the blinders. I say I just do it. We just do it.’”
