John Cena is a 16-time World Champion in WWE and has been the face of the company for over a decade until he shifted to a part-time schedule back in 2017. Many fans have been wanting to see Cena make his return at this year’s WrestleMania. He is also worked with Vin Diesel on Fast and Furious 9. John Cena could also be losing his return match.
John Cena has not been seen on WWE television since his WrestleMania 36 match against Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Funhouse match. However, Cena finally made his return at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, right after the main event match between Roman Reigns and WWE Hall Of Famer Edge for the WWE Universal Championship. Since then he has appeared on multiple episodes of Monday Night RAW and Smackdown and is set to face off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Univeral Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
Recently, UFC star Dustin Poirier spoke to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, where he was asked if he had any idea who Roman Reigns was. Dustin Poirier revealed he had no idea who Roman Reigns was but definitely heard of John Cena, as it appears he is the only active WWE star he’s heard of.
“No I do not. I don’t, man, I don’t. Guilty.”
