[Q1] The show opened with a recap from last week’s show of Christian beating Vladimir Kozlov to earn a shot at the ECW Title at Night of Champions… The opening montage aired…

Josh Matthews and Matt “Beer Can” Striker introduced the show. Cameras panned the crowd and actually found a few guys who chanted “ECW”…

1. Shelton Benjamin beat Christian in 11:35. Striker quickly pointed out that Christian only won last week because Kozlov’s head hit the exposed steel turnbuckle. Good action early. Christian went for a monkey flip, but Shelton landed on his feet. Christian ran at Shelton, who pressed Christian into the air and dropped him.

Christian regained control of the match and climbed the ropes for a move. However, Vladimir Kozlov’s music played. Christian was distracted by Kozlov coming out. Shelton shoved him off the ropes and onto the floor. Kozlov made it to ringside and walked by Christian as the show went to break. [C]

After the break, Kozlov was on commentary. No, I’m not making that up. Back in the ring, Christian hit a missile dropkick on Benjamin, but continued to sell a left arm injury.

[Q2] Shelton came back with a cross armbreaker on Christian’s sore arm. Christian turned it into a pinning situation for a creative near fall. Christian went up top, but Shelton popped up and then jumped to the top rope and hit a shoulder breaker off the top. Really nice spot, but Christian was up seconds later. Christian came back with a Killswitch attempt, but Shelton countered with Paydirt for the win. A shot aired of Kozlov smiling on commentary…

The announcers switched focus to Ezekiel Jackson and aired highlights of his squash match win. Backstage, Hurricane Helmes interviewed Jackson and asked if Jackson felt the need to escape The Brian Kendrick’s shadow. Zeke said Kendrick hired him. Zeke added that the most important person in his life now is Ezekiel Jackson… [C]

Did You Know that over 100 million Diva photos were viewed on the WWE website last month?…

2. Yoshi Tatsu pinned Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea Burchill) in 3:35. Burchill controlled the majority of the match. Yoshi botched a springboard move off the ropes and took a suplex from Burchill. However, Yoshi came back with a big kick to Burchill’s head and scored the pin… [C]

[Q3] A new ad aired for ECW promoting “the new time.” It featured Raw wrestler Evan Bourne. Cool commercial, but it’s already dated… The announcers hyped ZZ Top as the special guest hosts for Monday’s WWE Raw…

Backstage, Tiffany was busy sending a text message. Tyler Reks entered the room and thanked her for everything she’s been doing for him. She said she’s been watching his matches on WWE Superstars. He said he wants to make his ECW debut and suggested next week. She said that could be arranged…

3. Zack Ryder defeated Goldust in 4:25. Striker put over Ryder’s music by talking about how annoying it is. Nice touch. Goldust tried to play to the crowd at one point, but they didn’t play along. He received a minor pop for using the butt-butt. Iceman Parsons should be proud.

At 3:55, Goldy played to the crowd while standing on the second rope and got a decent reaction. He hit a bionic elbow off the ropes. However, Ryder came back with the Zack Attack for the clean win. The announcers put it over as a huge win for Ryder…

Highlights aired of Seth Green’s appearance on Monday’s WWE Raw… [C]

[Q4] At ringside, the announcers introduced footage of the latest Hurricane save segment…

4. Sheamus pinned Roman Cornell in 1:30. Before the match, Sheamus told Cornell that his path is that of the Celtic Warrior. The crowd gave him the “What” treatment throughout his short promo. In the end, Sheamus turned the Rock Bottom into a backbreaker on his knee. Nice finisher… [C]

The Abraham Washington Show returns next week with special guests Christian and Tommy Dreamer… Ring introductions for the main event took place…

5. Vladimir Kozlov pinned Tommy Dreamer in a non-title match in 4:00. The wrestlers traded offense to start the match.

[Overrun] Kozlov clotheslined Dreamer on the top rope and then hit him with a couple of headbutts. Striker put over Kozlov’s technical acumen by pointing out the way he positions his hands and buries his head during certain moves.

Later, Dreamer climbed to the top rope, but Kozlov leapt toward the corner and hit the rope to knock him down. Dreamer continued to fight Kozlov while standing on the second rope. He leapt off the second rope right into a headbutt from Kozlov. Moments later, Kozlov hit the Iron Curtain and scored the pin.

After the match, Kozlov continued to work over Dreamer. Christian ran out for the save, but Kozlov fought him off and left Dreamer and Christian lying. Kozlov went to the top of the stage and smiled to close the show…
