Elon Musk Massive Bank Payment To Trump Leaks

It has come to light that Billionaire Elon Musk recently donated to a super PAC working to return former President Donald Trump to the White House, Bloomberg reported on Friday via Mediaite.

X(formerly Twitter) owner Musk made a contribution of “a sizable amount” to a PAC called America PAC, Bloomberg’s sources said.

The publication’s Jennifer Jacobs and Bill Allison reported:

Musk has contributed to a low-profile group called America PAC, according to people familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity to detail his plans. It’s unclear how much Musk has given, but the people characterized the figure as a sizable amount. The PAC is next required to disclose its list of donors on July 15.

The move highlights the growing influence of a technology mogul who tops the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a net worth of $263.6 billion and his shift from a self-described political independent — who said he preferred to stay out of politics — into a figure who regularly uses his X social-media platform to espouse right-leaning views and assail Democrats.

The revelation came as President Joe Biden is facing pressure to drop his reelection bid as the Democratic nominee after a disastrous debate performance a couple of weeks ago. Biden has often stumbled over his words and lost his train of thought.

It has been noted that subsequent interviews did not allay concerns members of his party have about his ability to defeat Trump in November and serve another four years. More than a dozen Democratic members of Congress have called on him to drop out.

Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla, has not publicly endorsed a candidate this election cycle. Since acquiring Twitter in 2022, he has questionably cast himself as a free speech crusader. That has earned him the praise of conservative and far right-wing users. Under his stewardship, Holocaust denialism and pro-Nazi content have flourished on the platform.
