Former WWE star Billy Jack Haynes was reportedly arrested in link with a tragic shooting involving his wife, Janette Becraft, in the Lents neighborhood of Portland.
As police responded to the fatal shooting near 6000 SE 100th Avenue, the incident led to the declaration of a shelter-in-place. More information about the case has recently surfaced, including the fact that he is receiving medical attention at the hospital right now.
Following police response to reports of shooting at Haynes’ residence in the Lents neighborhood on Thursday, Haynes was placed under arrest. After a heated confrontation, Haynes ultimately came out of the house and was taken into custody.
Additionally, police reassured everyone that the community was not under any continuous threat. Authorities found Janette Becraft’s body on the property during the inspection.
In an update, Portland Police identified the suspect in the Lents Neighborhood homicide as William Albert Haynes, Jr, 70, the husband of Janette Becraft. He is curently in police custody at a local hospital for an unrelated medical condition, he will be booked into jail upon release. Charges will be disclosed after booking.
