Fox News Fire Trump Hater From The Five

Veteran journalist Geraldo Rivera has made a surprising announcement that he will be stepping down from his role as a panelist on Fox News’ popular roundtable opinion show, The Five. Rivera, who has been a prominent figure on the network for several years, took to Twitter on a Wednesday morning to share the news with his followers, stating, “It’s official, I’m off The Five.”

In his tweet, Rivera also mentioned that his last scheduled appearances on the show would be on Thursday and Friday, June 29th and 30th. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity he had been given, he acknowledged the challenges of being the “odd man out” among his right-leaning co-hosts. Despite his departure from The Five, Rivera reassured his audience that he would continue to serve as a Correspondent at Large for the network, implying that he would still contribute in other capacities.

Rivera’s time on The Five was marked by his tendency to clash with his conservative counterparts, often engaging in heated debates and scuffles on-air. Known for his outspoken nature, he did not shy away from expressing his dissenting opinions, resulting in memorable confrontations with fellow hosts and guests alike. His willingness to challenge the prevailing narrative and engage in lively discussions made him a notable presence on the show.

Beyond his contributions to The Five, Rivera has made headlines over the years for his confrontations with guests and contributors on various other Fox News programs. His reputation as a passionate debater and provocateur has cemented his status as a polarizing figure in the world of cable news.

“My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th,” he said. “It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large.”

As Geraldo Rivera bids farewell to The Five, his departure undoubtedly leaves a void on the panel and piques curiosity about who will fill his place. The network, known for its rotating cast of conservative commentators, will undoubtedly strive to find a replacement who can bring their unique perspective to the table and generate captivating discussions. Meanwhile, Rivera’s fans and critics alike will be watching closely to see how his career unfolds in his new role as Correspondent at Large for Fox News.
