Gervonta Davis Girlfriend Reveals Truth About Assault

According to The Baltimore Banner, on Monday, Florida prosecutors dropped the battery charge against Baltimore boxing champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis after he completed anger management and parenting classes. Davis, now residing in Parkland, Florida, waived his appearance in Broward County Court, with his attorney, Shelby Walton, representing him.

The arrest took place on December 27, 2022, when the Broward County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Davis at his mansion following a woman’s report that he had slapped her on the side of the head, resulting in a small wound on the inside of her lip. He was subsequently released from the Broward County Main Jail after posting a $1,000 bond. Davis took to Instagram, which has since been deleted, to deny the allegations, stating that he is not a monster and has remained silent for too long.

The woman involved later expressed her desire not to testify in the case. She submitted an affidavit affirming her absolute desire for the criminal prosecution to be withdrawn and terminated.

According to Aaron Savitski, a spokesperson for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, all parties agreed that Davis should complete anger management and parenting classes. The woman, upon receiving certificates of completion for both courses, indicated her satisfaction with the outcome and requested the prosecution to drop the case.

Gervonta Davis, a native of West Baltimore, boasts an impeccable record of 29-0, with 27 knockouts. Recently, he achieved a victory over Ryan Garcia with a seventh-round body shot during a lightweight bout in Las Vegas.

Earlier this month, Davis was sentenced by Baltimore Circuit Judge Althea M. Handy to 90 days of home detention and three years of probation for his involvement in a hit-and-run incident on November 5, 2020, which injured four people, including a pregnant woman. As part of his sentence, Davis is required to complete 200 hours of community service. His coach and trainer, Calvin Ford, has permitted him to serve his house arrest time at his Baltimore residence.
