– A story recently floating around (said to be by a TNA official) saying Jenna Morasca was being paid strictly based on the amount of publicity she generates for the TNA was laughed at by one company source.
– In TNA live event attendance news, 7/10 in Hamilton, Ontario drew 1,500, 7/11 in Hamburg, New York drew 1,000, and 7/12 in Syracuse drew 600.
– TNA Knockout Lauren Brooke can be seen in a late night television ad spot promoting a “Free Sexy Phone Chat” line called Quest. To clarify, it’s actually not one of those seedy sexed-up late night ads as she was simply promoting a service for people to meet local singles. The TNA backstage announcer has modeled for a number of years and despite her foray into the world of wrestling, still gets tons of gigs endorsing various ventures.
– TNA referee Mark “Slick” Johnson, who’s frequently been a source a contention among some in the company, has a raised a few eyebrows in recent weeks over the number of house shows he’s worked. In fact, there was some eye rolling over the company’s recent decision to part ways with referee Shane Sewell, who was widely regarded as a better official than Johnson. Internally, the feeling is he would not be getting so many bookings if he wasn’t a close friend of Jeff Jarrett, much less a job.
