Jennifer Lopez has reportedly instructed media outlets to avoid questions about her marriage to Ben Affleck as she promotes her upcoming Netflix film, “Atlas.” According to TMZ, Netflix has informed the press covering the premieres in Hollywood and Mexico City that personal queries, particularly about Ben Affleck, are off-limits. Additionally, Lopez will only participate in group interviews with her co-stars, Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown.
During a promotional event on May 22, when a reporter asked Lopez about rumors concerning her marriage, she deflected the question, with Simu Liu stepping in to end the line of questioning.
Speculation about marital issues between Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, has been circulating since the beginning of the year, intensifying when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala alone. On May 15, an insider told In Touch that their marriage was nearing its end, claiming, “The writing is on the wall – it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”
The source added that Affleck is focusing on his work and children and has reportedly moved out, indicating that they might sell their dream house. Despite their love for each other, the source mentioned that Lopez and Affleck’s differences were irreconcilable. Another source stated that Lopez is hiring crisis PR to handle the potential divorce, with a legal separation filing expected soon. Laura Wasser, who previously worked on Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Garner and Lopez’s divorce from Marc Anthony, is anticipated to handle this case.
