This isn’t the first instance of Tenacious D poking fun at Trump. Back in 2017, during a conversation with Conan O’Brien, Jack Black suggested that Trump may have drawn inspiration from their comedic “I’m the best and everything I do is amazing” persona during his presidential campaign. Black humorously remarked that Trump adopted a similar boastful style, sans irony, and turned it into a successful political strategy.
Despite the jests, Black expressed a playful sense of guilt, likening Trump to an “evil warlock” who allegedly borrowed their comedic charm but without the irony, ultimately achieving political success.
