Jamie Foxx, the Oscar-winning actor, has received an outpouring of love and support from his celebrity friends after he addressed his April medical complication in an Instagram clip. Foxx reposted messages from pals like Barbra Streisand, who expressed their well wishes for his recovery.
Streisand, a legendary singer and actress, wrote a heartfelt message to Foxx, expressing her joy at seeing his face and hearing him speak. She has a longstanding friendship and musical history with Foxx, having collaborated on a cover of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” from The Sound of Music in 2016.
Longtime friend Martin Lawrence also sent his blessings to Foxx in a supportive message. Lawrence previously gave an update on Foxx’s condition in April, stating that he was doing better and that he was praying for him every night.
Comedian Luenell Campbell also recorded a sweet video message for Foxx, expressing her joy at seeing him again and sending her love and prayers.
Foxx’s latest video marked the first time he publicly addressed his health scare, and he expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from his fans and friends. The comedian and actor had previously given an update on Foxx in April, days after he was hospitalized following a medical complication on set in Atlanta. “I hear he’s doing better,” Lawrence told Extra at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. “My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood.”
