Popular actor Jamie Foxx recently faced off Olympic volleyball star Casey Patterson on Tuesday for a round of pickleball via Daily Mail.
‘That Jamie Foxx spin will get ya…’ Casey wrote on Instagram under a video of the 55-year-old actor pulling off a masterful spin shot.
Foxx seemed to be in good spirits, following his recent Instagram controversy. After making a post where he wrote, ‘They killed this dude called Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you?’ the Texas-born star was criticized for being anti-Semitic.
He quickly clarified his post with an apology to the Jewish community, adding that his post was aimed at a fake friend who had betrayed his trust.
In his apology post, Foxx also added, ‘I only have love in my heart for everyone.’
The backlash following the Strays star Instagram post comes months after Jamie was rushed to the hospital due to an undisclosed ‘medical complication’ according to his family. While The Baby Driver star took to Instagram after he recovered to thank his fans for their support, he didn’t delve into detail regarding what caused his medical emergency in the first place.
‘I cannot even begin to tell you how far [the health problem] took me and how it brought me back. I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through,’ the Horrible Bosses funnyman told his 16.8 million Instagram followers.
While the Act Like You Got Some Sense author acknowledged that his fans were eager for more details, he didn’t want to explain what actually happened.
‘I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying and cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show,’ he said.
He added, ‘I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.’
The Annie star credited his daughter, Corinne, and his sister for saving his life during his health scare.
