Top AEW coach Vickie Guerrero dropped a giant bombshell this week by introducing the debuting Andrade El Idolo, the former Andrade to the world of All Elite Wrestling. During his quick promo, Andrade stated that he plans to make himself the ‘Face of AEW’. However the moment was slightly tainted as a minor botch happened during the show. This is not the first Jim Ross AEW botch either.
On commentary, Jim Ross referred to the surprising debut as ‘Andre El Eelo’. It also should be noted that Andrade did not come out to any entrance music, however, this surely should be rectified in the near future. The debut did however, gather a strong reaction from his significant other, Charlotte Flair.
Over on the ever-popular Squared Circle subreddit, professional wrestling fans reacted to Andrade’s shocking debut in All Elite Wrestling. As Reddit user Somehetero stated: “Would it have been too much for Andrade to debut during the Omega segment, KOing Kenny from behind while wearing the La Sombra mask? Excalibur screaming “I know that mask!! It can’t be!!“ He could then rip off the mask and grab a mic, lean down in Kenny’s face and say “You’ve got 71 days.”” While politicsnerd7730 questioned: “Am I the only one who liked that Andrade intro? I was not expecting Vicki to make an announcement like that.”
