Media says the Biden family was crying tonight during Biden’s speech.
That’s great news.
Glad they get to experience how we have felt for the last 4 years.
I’m glad they are upset tonight!

It has been noted that President Joe Biden addressed the nation for the first time since announcing that he is not seeking reelection via Mediaite.
In a speech from the Oval Office, Biden has explained his decision to step aside and throw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.
Biden faced immense pressure from high-profile Democratic politicians and donors, who were concerned about the president’s performance in his debate with former President Donald Trump last month.
“It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your president,” Biden said from behind the Resolute Desk.
“But the defense of democracy, which is at stake, I think is more important than any title. I draw strength, and I find joy in working for the American people. But this sacred task of perfecting our Union is not about me. It’s about you. Your families. Your futures. It’s about ‘We the People.’ And we can never forget that.”
Biden cast November’s election as one between “hope and hate.”
“We have to decide – do we still believe in honesty, decency, respect, freedom, justice, and democracy?” he added.
The president has made the defense of democracy a key plank of his campaign after Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 election and maintained his grip on the Republican Party.
“Nothing will come in the way of saving democracy,” Biden told the nation. “And that includes personal ambition. So, I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation.”
He added, “Whether we keep our republic is now in your hands. My fellow Americans, it’s been the privilege of my life to serve this nation for over 50 years.”
Biden concluded by saying, “We’re the United States of America. And there’s simply nothing beyond our capacity when we do it together. So let’s act together. Preserve our democracy. God bless you all and may God protect our troops.”
Biden is the first incumbent president to decline to pursue a second full term since Lyndon Johnson announced he would not seek reelection in 1968.
